Taipa Village

Taipa 1 Taipa 2 Taipa 3 Taipa 4 Taipa 5 Taipa 6 Taipa 7 Taipa 8 Taipa 9 Taipa 10 Taipa 11 Before coming to Macau for work, I did not know that Macau actually consists of the Macau peninsula itself, as well as the islands of Taipa and Coloane, now connected by landfill referred to as Cotai. The whole of Macau occupies an area of about 30 square kilometres, so going anywhere in Macau takes relatively little time. Naturally, it didn’t take us long to discover Taipa Village, a small cluster of narrow alleys, traditional shop houses, and many small restaurants and eateries serving Portuguese, Macanese, and Chinese food. It’s really pretty in an old-fashioned way, and this place has almost all kinds of food and delicacies associated with Macau, so it’s a gastronomic one-stop shop!
