Here in Singapore, taking a walk in the park is not something people generally do, not because we have a shortage of parks (Singapore is the garden city, after all), but because of the heat and humidity involved. It’s one of the things I miss the most about living overseas where the climate is cooler. It’s not just a healthy physical habit, it is strangely mood-lifting. Try it next time you’re feeling down.
This series of pictures were taken one rainy morning in Chinese Garden/Japanese Garden. The weather was cool and the walk was serene. I used to live within minutes from these gardens. I wonder why I did not visit them more often back then.
