In April, I took a month off work to rest and V and I managed to squeeze a trip to Bandung despite his busy schedule. If you’re not from Indonesia, you may not have heard of Bandung, but it is one of the 3 most developed cities in Indonesia, just a few hours’ drive from Jakarta. There are direct flights between Singapore and Bandung, so it is a pretty convenient destination for a short holiday.

Thanks to its 768m elevation, Bandung enjoys a cool tropical weather. Because of growing tourism and recent spurts in city developments, it is not as cool (I mean this literally) as it is used to be, but compared to Jakarta and Singapore, it is still a nice respite. There are plenty of things to see and do here, good food to eat, attractions to visit. Featured here is Dusun Bambu, one of the few family leisure parks that have been popping up in the area. You can opt to stay or camp there if you’d like, but V and I just spent a few hours here walking around and trying our hands at archery.
