I guess you’re expecting an entry titled Pandawa Beach to have at least a picture of the beach, but on this cloudy day, the beach was a tad too crowded for our photo-taking liking, so we stopped at the limestone cliff terrace on the way to the beach and took these pictures in front of the Pandawa statues in the hollows carved out of the cliff face instead! If you’re familiar with the epic Hindu story Mahabharata, then you’ll know the Pandawa are the five sons of Pandu: Yudhisthira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula, and Sahadewa. These statues have their names on them, though come on, can anybody tell the difference?

I’m going to take advantage of the fact that these pictures show our outfits from head to toe to share just how much I love the combinations here: my aunt’s gingham shirt and cropped pants, my cousin’s denim shirt and shorts (and those Ray-Ban Clubmaster flash lenses!), and of course my colourful maxi skirt and straw hat. Talk about dressing sharp in the heat!
