The weather reached extreme temperatures last weekend in Perth. There were notices in the street reminding campers not to light a fire for fear of it becoming a bush fire. Instead of melting at home, V and I took the bus to Northbridge to checked out the Western Australian Museum and the Art Gallery of West Australia, both air-conditioned of course. They say you’re allowed crazy, reckless deeds when it’s more than 40 degrees outside. Blame it on the heat. Perhaps our craziness is still to come, but this is actually a little unusual (History and paintings are not a few of my favourite things).

In other news, Australia Day weekend is almost here! V and I will be driving south to see Valley of the Giants (Drop by again to see the photos, will you?). While we’re here in Australia, we figure we should have as many wonderful road trips that we couldn’t do in Singapore as possible! If you reside in Australia, what exciting things have you got planned?
